Oddity of the day
Apparently a food processor, in French, is a "Robot Culinaire." (This from the box of my brand-new red! KitchenAid food processor, bought when I accidentally dropped my ancient Cuisinart on the floor and broke it.)
A Robot Culinaire sounds like it would do something much cooler than just slice, dice, and cut butter into flour for pie crust, doesn't it? Like it would make the full meal, serve it to you, clean up the kitchen afterwards, and maybe wear a little apron.

And, alas, no bites on Exog yet. It's a terribly awkward length, much too long for the short story markets but much too short to be a novel or even a novella. And that's even before you take on the problem of explicit cross-species sex.
