Three new HP smutlets

Wrote one of these at the allergist and the other two while waiting for my daughter to finish her ballet class (which is the sort of thing that makes me feel I'm living a thrilling double life).

Surviving for [livejournal.com profile] teneagles, who asked for "postwar Harry/Ron schmorn." (And isn't 'schmorn' just a delicious word?)

Tidal for [livejournal.com profile] lada_hitam, who asked for Harry/Snape, though it may not be the sort of Harry/Snape she likes.

Plummet for [livejournal.com profile] maryavatar, who asked for Harry/Snape, "plummet." (Her challenge was just too good not to use it for a title.)

Got a doctor's appointment tomorrow and a ballet class every week, so I'm still welcoming challenges for these!

Edited to add the usual: If you want to see links to all the smutlets on one page, go to the story notes here.

Mmmmmm, as usual. Grievous, this time.

I want Hooch/McGonagall, Memory.

Re: And now for the short feedback:

I got it - it just took me a couple of seconds :o)

So so so good. All of them. I should print out your "smutlets" to study and practice my writing. I don't know how you get so much in so few words. There is so much unspoken in between the words, is what it is. If I tried to tell you what I liked about each, it would probably be longer than the stories themself! And wonderful, simple, straightforward language. You are one of the few people also that can make me read het. ;) I'm not sure I've ever given you feedback before, so I'm very sorry for that because I've really enjoyed your writing. I'm adding you to my f-list.

Yum! Will work on this one first!

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Now, you know I don't write cock sizes.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
That's really odd. My mailbox isn't full. I have no idea why that would happen.

But you could try my backup mail: resonant8(at)yahoo(dot)com.

Thanks for trying, anyway!

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

Mm -- both good thoughts. Will have fun working on those.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Good! Glad you liked it. It was an unusually nice challenge, and I've known for some time what I was going to do with it, but it took me this long to get around to writing it.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
My favorite kind of slash, actually.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
huh. Interesting. I'll try it.

And thanks so much for your kind words!

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[beaming at you] Thanks!

Was a bit scared reading this one because I feared you were going to go with twisty Evil!Harry ending

Eek! No! I want to make Snape happy! (Even though being happy would probably make him miserable.)

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

"Tidal" is my favorite of the bunch, too, and I have no idea where it came from, either.

Thanks!

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I'm glad you liked them. Those lines were particular favorites of mine. Clearly you are a reader of great discernment and fine taste.

I spent a shameful few hours the other night reading post-Sense & Sensibility novellas

Where? Where?!

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, good -- I'm glad that one worked for you. Snape POV is fun to write because you get to use big words and semicolons.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

Oh, yeah, I probably should have put the challenge requirements up there -- though I've gotten some of my most interesting ones from challenges that really didn't fit that pattern. Anyway, looking forward to taking on a different trio!

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! Thank you. I have a feeling being Snape's lover would be a rather demanding position. And heaven help you if you didn't get it just right.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
You liked it! I'm so glad! The inventor of the word "schmorn" deserves good smut, at the very least.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
There's lots of great HP out there, as I'm sure all sorts of people have told you at length. I'm glad you enjoyed mine, anyway.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you!

Chest hair is good for the deliciously tactile side of things.

Hm. Draco/Neville. Well, I'll give it a try ...

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

I started trying to do your smutlet today, but it wants to be a real story. i'm not sure whether I'm going to let it or not, but I imagine the legal battle between me and the story will take a while ...

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, good! I was really hoping you'd like it. I think the two of them have a lot more in common than they think, and they could very well end up thoroughly bonded together.

[identity profile] resonant8.livejournal.com 2004-09-24 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww. Thanks!
