Skara Brae was amazing. I was overcome by awe more than once while I was there. It's been on my bucket list for years, and when I was there, and there was no one else there but barkley and the guide we were with, I just stood there beside structures of the past, with the wind whipping my hair, and stared out at the ocean, and I went back in time. I hope you have a chance to go someday. (I also was awed by the Ring of Brodgar; tears instantly sprang to my eyes when I saw it.)
