Bravenet says ...
Hm. Should I be pissed that people are apparently linking to "Transfigurations" out of LJ posts which have been locked so that I can't read them?
I can't quite maintain my peevishness because it makes me feel so important to be the subject of whispered discussion.
Seriously, though, if you want to critique it, you can do that without hiding from me. I don't expect everybody to love it, and I learn more from criticism than I do from praise.
And I won't post comments on any criticism unless it's posted in my LJ. Y'all can say whatever you like in yours without fear that I'll charge in and defend myself.

Was that a rhetorical question? *g* Because I would say, the answer is no, ten times over. Discussion that takes place 'out of earshot', as it were, is something you wouldn't even know about if it weren't for that nifty linkage thing telling you where your visitors come from. I don't think it's hiding if someone chooses to discuss the story in a place where you can't see it, since that sort of thing has gone on since the foundations of fandom were set down. :-)
Of course, that's easy for me to say, since I'm not discussing it. *g* HP just squicks me, no matter how hard I try to get over my hang-up about it. Which is a tragedy, in my book, since it means I don't get to enjoy your latest stories.

Yes. Hunt them down and kill them!
On the other, slightly less insande hand, the possibility is that the link/discussion is positive (they wouldn't bother linking, otherwise), but that the journals are friends only for other reasons - privacy in general, like my journal - rather than hiding from you.

On an unrelated note, I love your Dief icon!

I wrote a really really long response to 'Transfiguration' and then my window closed... and I just haven't quite gotten myself to rewrite everything...
Now I'm in Japan... Gah...

Eh, don't worry about it. Lots of people keep part of all of their journals friends-locked for various reasons.
BTW, how is it possible to find out where people are linking in from?
