Signal Boost: Brilliant Princess Bride meta

I would read this at novel length.

I attempted to write a Buttercup romance once. (I had to pull in Morwen from the Enchanted Forest Chronicles, because the only other women in the movie are the Witch and the toothless woman who yells, "Bow to her!") But I ran aground because of Buttercup's passivity. I wonder if this would solve the problem.

Oh, yes. Morwen and Buttercup 100% should hang out. I would love that.

Me too! I read the series just a couple years ago and identified with Morwen super hard.

I expect the only change in Morwen is that she's even MORE competent.

Likewise! Also, this is totally my face. :-) Things are good. Since last we spoke (god, when was it?), politics imploded so I’m getting British citizenship. Have moved out of the marital home and will get divorced once I’ve been citizenifies. Have done nanowrimo but not much fic-writing. Sons grown up and living in London. You??

Oo that's good! Someone on tumblr suggested watching the princess bride as a dnd campaign--i guess this would make Buttercup a bard, not a long-suffering NPC like I've been thinking of her.
