Separated at birth?
Look at
Draco
, from tomfelton.com.
Now look at
Eminem
, from Spin magazine.
Or is it just a light-eyed-guy-in-a-hood thing?

I think it is a light-eyed-guy-in-a-hood-with-an-underbite thing.

In the hands of the right author, dentistry = characterization.

And, of course, I read this as "Is it a light-eyed-guy-in-the-'hood thing?"
Has anyone ever figured out what the hell kind of an accent it is that Draco has in the movie?
Swindon, vague overtones of Geordie?

Now picturing Draco in the 'hood. Wondering whether his own natural superciliousness would translate into some sort of street cred.
Don't ask me about accents, unless you want to know North Carolina from South Carolina.

A subject I know intimately. :) And yet, most of the rest of the US firmly believes that there is one monolithic "Southern acccent" (and that it should sound like Dolly Parton on welfare.)

Yup. Or like Kasey Kasem, only saying "Ah" instead of "I."

Just saw CoS, and now I want to identify Oliver Wood's accent. Shouldn't I recognize that? It isn't exactly subtle.

Yeah, I went and looked the actor up on
the IMDB
(http://www.imdb.com) and All Became Clear.

You're much more scholarly than I am. I just thought, "Huh, he sounds like Billy Boyd. Must be a Scot." :)

You don't know me but you saved me many hours of what's left of my sanity linking to that photo, thanks!

Um ... good? Hope there aren't very
many
people out there whose sanity depends on me ...
