After I put up The Hang of It, icarusancalion wondered what was going on in Ron's head at the same time. When I thought about it, I realized I had no idea. So I wrote it.

I read 'The Hang of It' a while back and imagine my delight to find the other half, as it were. Thank you for writing it and sharing it. My favourite line was, hands down, "he was always going to be this: a shield on Harry's arm, a weapon in Harry's hand" Powerful imagery, that!
