Another new HP snippet: Hanging

After I put up The Hang of It, icarusancalion wondered what was going on in Ron's head at the same time. When I thought about it, I realized I had no idea. So I wrote it.

This adds so much to the original ficlet. I especially love what it shows of Ron's character when he thinks "how he'd made Harry queer and given Malfoy and his goons one more weapon to hold over him and added another worry to Harry's life, as if it didn't have enough of them already." The smuttiness was fantastic, but this is even better.

(One typo catch, in case you want to fix it: Harry was still pawing weakly at Ron's zip, which was tricky to get a grip on because the shorts were are too tight.

Love the little details, like smeared lenses. And this: after the blacksmith's puzzle of Harry's belt just made me squee. I've never heard that before, and it fit so well.

Amazingly plausible,this train of thought. Original and interesting...and somehow reminds me of Molly Weasley's thinking. It adds another layer of authenticity, to feel he's inherited the worrying :D

Mmm, lovely, and Ron's voice is just perfect. I love the paragraph of chessmaster!Ron, suddenly seeing all the new complications. And I love how Ron thinks Harry is dragging him across the landing, when in "The Hang of It" Harry thinks it's the other way around.

Mmmmmmm.

What I liked best was the shield on Harry's arm and the weapon in Harry's hand, and also the cock 'riding' Ron's palm. And I liked very much the detailed but non-graphic description of Ron's orgasm, how he is in charge of it and holds it off and then wills it forward a bit.
