Thanks, plus new SGA smutlet: "Long"

I got the best friends in explored space.

So far I've taken about three hundred books to help rebuild the school library after the fire. I don't know how many people have sent gift certificates directly to Mrs. M., but the librarian knows me by name now.

The offer I made in the original post still stands: anyone who wants to donate can give me a pairing and ask me a question, and I'll write them something little, or maybe not so little.

[livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine gets her smutlet first, though, because she gave me one hell of a prompt.

Long

Oh, kudos to [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine. She has good ideas. Very good ideas. And you. Good words. Very good words.

BTW, there's a little POV bobble: "It freaks me out a little."

Oh, gorgeous hot sweet. I love the different takes on the idea.

oh dear god, break me a little, why don't you?

Wow, okay, that was awesome.

Oh, nice. I am now Quite Curious about the eleven months time, cos, eep.

Okay, also, I will prompt now.

McKay/Sheppard, prompt: the trouble with fancy desserts.

Nnnnnnnnnnngh. You are a genius in that you can break my heart, make it go all fluttery and then make my toes curl in 500 words or less.

[identity profile] beadattitude.livejournal.com 2008-11-29 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Oh. I wasn't expecting that. ::is shaking:: That's really beautiful, love.

Oh, yes, thank you.

[identity profile] cathalin.livejournal.com 2008-11-29 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, wow. How do you *do* what you just did in so few words: devastating, hot, devastating. John's greatest gift would be letting someone see, absolutely. This is stunning.

[identity profile] countess7.livejournal.com 2008-11-29 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
OMG AMAZING!

sweet and hot and desperate and adorable by turns.

oh, BOYS! yay!

Oh, man. Wonderful reason for getting the prompt, wonderful prompt, and I love all the things you did with it, and the gestalt of all the things.

I sent additional squee to you via email, but I just re-read this, and I had to repeat:

<3!

[identity profile] livrelibre.livejournal.com 2008-11-29 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, how do you do that to me with so few words? *shakes head*

::happy flail::

Oh, man, this is lovely. The list format, of course, which I'm starting to suspect is one of my secret kinks or something. And the way the story goes from poignant and painful (all that living flesh, it almost seems obscene) to brain-meltingly hot, and then for a bonus does both of them at the same time. In 500 words. Wow.

(Man, I've missed your expression of these two. I am so happy now!)

Oh wow. It's fanworks like this that reminds me why I love John and Rodney together. I love how you can say so much using so few words.

[identity profile] panisdead.livejournal.com 2008-11-29 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I really like this. I think the first one's my favorite, even, because it's SO compact and so effective. Although I also love John and his casual dismissal (or casual indifference to?) of, like, tantric or anything. HEE.

Oh, oh. Yes. This. Hot and so oddly full of longing; I'm glad you tie this up with Rodney understanding and both giving and accepting.
