Wow, human contact

I met actual fans in person today! First time ever! I met cereta (who has a lovely house and gives such good directions that I didn't get lost at all, with the result that I was like 45 minutes early) and way2busymom, who tells great stories. Unfortunately some sort of deadly Midwestern contagion felled makesmewannadie so she couldn't make it down.

I really don't talk to real human beings very often, except the ones who are related to me and the ones who live with me. I felt kind of out of practice, but I didn't spill any food on anybody but myself, so yay!

In my case, I'm kind of, um, I tend to turtle when there's a chance to meet people. I'm functional! really! just that fandom is kind of my introvert-extrovert place, and it's weird to meet people in three dimensions!
