01. What are your nicknames?
Online, people call me Res. Offline, I've never really been one of those people to whom nicknames stick. My dad is allowed to call me Sally, for some reason.
02. How do you style your hair?
My hairstyling life is all about avoiding frizz. To that end, I never groom it with anything but my fingers (I don't even own a brush), never quite entirely wash all the conditioner out of it, and weigh it down with both gel and glosser. I'm really not a girly girl at all, except when it comes to my hair.
03. What's new in your life right now? See update post. On the one hand, this is the first Christmas I've had an independent income since 2002; on the other hand, I actually had to take a day off to go shopping!
04. How many colors are you wearing now? Depends; do black and gray count as different colors? Black, gray, purple. Oh, and red bedroom slippers. (Slightly amusing detail: I filled out the meme day before yesterday but am only now posting it. But I'm wearing exactly the same colors!)
05. Are you an introvert or extrovert? OMG introvert. I mean, I function in company, but I have to rest afterwards.
06. What was the last book you read? Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book. I liked it, though I'm still deciding whether the reappearance of the villain was done in a cheating way or whether I'm just resentful because I didn't guess.
07. Do you nap a lot? Whenever I get the chance.
08. If the person you secretly like is already taken, what would you do? n/a, as I'm no longer fourteen.
09. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days? Not unhappy, exactly, but irritated: Stupid shoulder injury. House looks like chimps live in it. And I have no energy left to write!
10. What's your favorite dessert? Cheesecake.
11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? About an hour, including shoulder stretches. But I have a fourth-grader, so I'm not just getting me ready.
12. What websites do you visit daily? A whole list of comics (Mutts, 9 Chickweed Lane, Candorville, Sylvia, Unshelved, Questionable Content, The Knight Life); LJ and the LJ birthdays page; I Can Has Cheezburger, Failblog, Smitten Kitchen, Cake Wrecks, Not Always Right, the Consumerist, Goodreads, and Miss Manners (even though it's not updated every day).
13. Do you write fic? What was the last fic you wrote? Not enough. Last thing I wrote was a gen(!) Due South/Chrestomanci crossover, Interdepartmental Cooperation.
14. Do you like to clean? I like doing laundry, and I don't mind cleaning up after a meal. Straightening has its own satisfactions, though it's hard to get started. I hate and despise dusting.
15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head? "There Is No Rose Of Swch Virtu," only because it was playing on my car Christmas CD.
16. What's the last movie you saw? A Muppet Christmas Carol.
17. Would you enter a relationship with your ideal partner, even if you knew he/she was seriously involved with/married to someone else and would never leave them? A person who would agree to this would not be my ideal partner.
18. What is your least favorite thing to do that you have to do everyday? Make salad. So boring.
