I went to a new gyno on Thursday and asked for a counselor referral. She said, "What's happening in your life over the past eighteen months?" Ten tearful minutes later, when I finished up the list with "and also menopause," she said, "Oh, my," and suggested a six- month course of Lexapro.

Have any of y'all tried it? What's been your experience? I know I'm more fortunate than many of my imaginary friends in that I'm not coming from a lifetime of ongoing depression, but it's gradually dawning on me that crying twice a day for a year and a half is maybe not "just hormones."
