Not really like polyamory. Totally, monogamously, single-mindedly in love ... just with a lot of people at the same time.

He could have the terrible misfortune of getting hit in the head repeatedly, each time waking up with temporary amnesia, falling instantly in love with the first person he sees, and then getting hit on the head again just as he begins to put things together.

In high school, I dated a guy who had a particular fondness for a particular string of nicely done fake pearls, and gave a string of them to every girl he dated, so that eventually we could recognize a fellow ex of Dave's by the pearls she wore.

I'm imagining Steve having something similar -- some piece of jewelry that can eventually be seen on everybody in Avengers Tower.

And then they bring Bucky in and he looks at Sam's hand, or Natasha's, or Tony's, and goes, "Hey ..."
