Sad family news

resonantMy father died this morning. His health had been declining for some time, but this seemed to come out of nowhere, as a result of a serious fall (unless the fall was a result of something else).
I've been crying all day, and yet most minutes it doesn't feel real to me.
He gets the inappropriately comic Pogo icon because he loved Pogo and used to read it to me when I was too young to read it myself. For a while our family subscribed to two newspapers because one of them had better news coverage but the other one had Pogo.
I doubt I'm going to be able to respond to comments (so don't feel obliged to make them), but it would seem weird for y'all not to know that this big awful thing had happened.
