Today's culinary discovery

One jar of lemon curd whipped thoroughly with 1 1/2 sticks of soft unsalted butter makes a really tasty lemon frosting. (And I don't even like frosting.) Stir in a bit of honey if it's too sour for you. Yum.

I wonder how tasty it would be with marscapone cheese? That would totally be a shortcut for me.

I've never really worked with mascarpone (except in the sense that I've eaten tiramisu) -- so I can imagine it would taste really good but I don't know if you'd be able to whip air into it to get that frosting-like texture.

It's basically Italian cream cheese, so you'd get a thick, not-too-sweet frosting.
