December Daily: power couples

Can be storyish or not."The first couple who come to mind are Morticia and Gomez Addams, who make up the happiest marriage on television. When I was about eight, my godfather gave me a big book of Charles Addams cartoons; I'd never seen the TV show and the movies didn't exist yet, but the cartoons were brain-expanders. I loved the one where the two of them were sitting on a window seat looking out at a heavy rain, and he said, "Unhappy, darling?" and she said, "Oh, yes, yes! Completely!"
Fraser and Ray wouldn't be a power couple because they'd be a retreat couple. Their power is the power of Nope.
What would it take for any variant of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson to become a power couple? I just can't see it. I think they're on too much unequal ground.
I don't feel like I'm giving this prompt its due. Anyone else?

This year, in addition to the usual kinds of questions, I'd also love to get storyish prompts. Storyish meaning you never know what you might get: two sentences of a story, or a description of a story that will never exist, or a love song about how much I like that trope, or a rant about my pet peeve about that trope, or I know nothing about that canon except what I see on social media and here's what I think it might be about, or Ten Reasons Why I Love/Hate/Am Indifferent To that character, canon, or trope, or ...

(Every time I type 'Steve Rogers' I have to pause because my fingers want to type "Steve Austin...a man barely alive", which is maybe a sign on encroaching...something...)
