I had a great time with the livejournal random poem generator. (Go to www.antispin.net/~martine/cgi-bin/insanity.cgi?fnord=USERNAME, substituting your own username.) My very first entry ended with "Huh?" which is an eloquent summary of my livejournal content.

I didn't get anything good enough to publish in its entirety, but I did occasionally get brief detours into coherence, such as:

Boring sex. I'm not a surprising number of teeth.

and

So I personally am a lot of cake.

and

Would I Were a white fur throw wearing nothing but in some muted color

and

Thinks I'm writing!

-- not to mention my new username: Precisely average, as well as dirty.

In other news, I'm having a great time working on my anniversary project -- I have follow-up snippets for two HP stories and two DS stories, and we'll see how many I can come up with between now and August 11.

[livejournal.com profile] tinderblast pointed out that the official gifts for a fourth anniversary are linen and silk, which just have waaaay too many possibilities. Did you know, for instance, that silk is the strongest of all natural fibers? A thread of silk is stronger than the same size thread of steel. Linen, too, is extremely strong, so much so that it was once used to make fishing nets and firehoses. It remains to be seen whether any of this will actually make it into a story (though, like all other fascinating trivia, it plays itself out in my brain in Fraser's voice), but at least I learned something from it.

I have learned a surprising amount of useless imformation, all in the guise of research (Well, Fraser would know this...).

If I'd studied half this hard in college I might actually have a degree in something.

We have a winner, I'd say.

So I personally am a lot of cake.

It's like they KNOW you!

Would I Were a white fur throw wearing nothing but in some muted color

And haven't we all wished that at some time in our lives?

Thinks I'm writing!

Sig! Sig! It's funny 'cause it's true.

I must've missed that?

Best ones I got were:

I should record it in the entry anyway, since it will change when I get bored with it. It's: Precisely average, as well as dirty.

Yours are wonderful, too. The second one is almost poetry.

Heh, that would also be a good username.

Much as I wish it had been me, I just checked and Vickita was actually the one to mention the anniversary gifts. I was the one shamelessly pimping a Snape/Harry story using these items ...

I've actually got a post-Familiar anniversary snippet, though it doesn't involve silk or linen.

*hyperventilates*

*doesn't care about the missing silk or linen*

Is it ripe for posting?

Makes me so happy to know someone's eager for it!

It needs a beta. I'll be putting all the anniversary stories up on August 11.

I had tons of fun with the LJ generator as well :) once I wrote "Sentences get PERIODS." or something like that, so every single scramble it does I get something like "And we're all going to get PERIODS."

Armageddon.
