The spouse's car battery gave out tonight as he was on his way to his piano lesson. Once he'd called the police to get the car off the road, and then staggered four blocks home in the subzero cold, I sent him off in my car to follow the tow truck to the mechanic's.

My purse is in the trunk of my car.

My WIP is in my notebook, which is in my purse.

Also in my purse is the Reese's Peanut Butter Heart I've been looking forward to all day long.

Don't expect anything more out of me till tomorrow. Today's obviously shot.

Oh woe! The loss of the Reeses p-nut butter heart is a sore blow! Those things are soooooo nummy. I think they must make them fresh for the holiday, cause they are so much nummier than the standard p-nut butter cups :P

I actually have a whole hierarchy of the Reese's products in my head, in which the regular cups and the mini cups and the mini hearts have too much chocolate, and the large hearts and pumpkins and trees and eggs and such have too much peanut butter, but the small yellow-wrapped eggs are the absolutely perfect ambrosia-like proportion of chocolate to peanut butter.

And I now have a purse full of them. So for once I say hooray to the fact that the retail Easter season begins before Ash Wednesday!

When I got the car back from the spouse, he had added his own small pile of junk to all the junk I had left in it: a purple lunch bag, a gym towel, a paperback Nietzsche, and a Bible.
