For me it was actually a tie between #1 and #2, because concerning the first; they can sue me too so to speak, and John observing Rodney is always a good thing. And concerning the second; that Rodney voice is just so spot on! Plus it has Rodney being insecure about something but doing it anyway, so sue me twice.

See, the funniest thing? That's the oldest of all the smutlets, and it's been sitting on my hard drive since, um, July of 2005, because every time I look at it, I think, "This is such a blatant indulgence of my insecure-Rodney kink, and everybody's going to see right through it and mock me." Woe.

Don't worry, I'm a books fan. Well, the movies are also awesome but that's mostly down to Ioan "How do you spell that again?" Gruffyd. The Bush character is also done quite well, but Archie is all... cute, and tragic and stuff, and that's really all there is to him.

I'm still very much looking forward to any movie Ioan may or may not be planning to make (le sigh...) though.

Hi - new friend here -however I have been reading your fanfic for ages - through a referral from FabulaRasa. I'm glad to see most everyone voting for #2. While 3 and 4 also sound intriguing, I am a sucker for the humour - and for Rodney - and I agree with dutch_eowyn about the Rodney voice. This sounds like it's going to be good! Can't wait.

"Hornblower's Temptation," the one where they take an Irish deserter prisoner and Hornblower has to make sure he doesn't make any speeches before he's hanged.

Ioan is a thing of beauty and very well chosen to play Hornblower as a young man, I must admit. And there *is* a Kennedy in the books, and he and Hornblower have a very cute dynamic, but he appears so briefly that I don't think he ever even gets a first name.
