Finding lost web pages
Jan. 10th, 2003 01:35 pmIf you lost data when the Trickster.org server went down, and you couldn't get it back from a Google cache page, you might want to try The Wayback Machine, maintained by Web Archive. (Katherine let me know about this when I was looking for the Small Dogs page. I was amazed, and slightly alarmed, by how nothing on the internet ever truly goes away.)
My site was on trickster, so of course it's down at the moment, but since I never throw anything away, I do have backups. (I also have my car insurance card from the second half of 1997, if anyone needs to see that.)
Everybody send good wishes to the trickster goddesses, who are probably drowning in stress.
And, Seah? If you haven't heard from anne, let me know how to contact you and I'll send you her new e-mail address.
