I just spent the entire damned morning waiting for the furnace-repair guy to come. First it was going to be between 8 and 9, and then the schedule kept creeping later, ever later, but never by a large enough chunk of time to allow me to say, "OK, I won't be interrupted for an hour, so I can buckle down and write for that long, at least."
And I have another home-related appointment squatting toadlike over most of my afternoon.
But I have just decided that instead of thinking of this as a day wasted, I'm going to think of it as a day that I am sacrificing to Hestia.
Perhaps Hestia will relent and let me get a word or two down on paper tonight after the sun goes down and all good contractors go to sleep.
