Huh. From the way other people are reacting to me, I gather that I'm in a bad mood. Doesn't feel like one from the inside, though.
To make up for it, two random things I learned tonight at choir:
1. One of our tenors, with his daughter as a navigator, has sailed a small boat all up and down the Atlantic coast. The sextant that he used once belonged to another parishioner, a retired professor of musical composition.
2. This church is the second one on this site; the first one burned down many years before I came to town. Some of the music was rescued from the ruins of the old church. It's crackly like paper that's been wet and dried, and it still smells very faintly of smoke.
