1. The first article title on the page is the name of your band.
2. The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.
3. The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use your graphics program of choice to throw them together, and post it in your own journal.

Clearly my band is an all-acoustic group with folk/country roots but a high level of pretentiousness.

[livejournal.com profile] cesperanza has a post here that begins, "Because I want us to own the goddamned servers, ok? Because I want a place where we can't be TOSed and where no one can turn the lights off or try to dictate to us what kind of stories we can tell each other."

And, just -- yes. What she said. Because she really hit it right on the head: in a way what we're about is an alternative to buying and selling. Stories, adventures, archetypes -- they're all sold, but we take them and fold origami penguins out of them and give them to each other. Desire is commodified, but we remake it and make it new for each other.

Why should we do any of that for FanLib? Why should we do it for anybody but each other?
