So I came home from vacation and started to catch up on dw, and at first I was thinking, wow, everybody's getting really chummy with Holmes and all, calling him by his first name. Then I realized: No, what happened was I went away for a week and when I came back there was an entirely new fandom that I've never heard of. How does this happen? And how do I get in on it??

You might check my journal about a week back. (And then write me all the fic in the world.)

Not just one fandom. TWO. Inception & Sherlock have eaten everyone's brains in what seriously feels like record time, I'M OVERWHELMED.

I blame Moffatt. I am not sure what to blame Inception on, since I have two small children and therefore get out to movies rated above PG about once a year.

The first ep of Sherlock is pretty good; the second is...periodically problematic in an OH NOES YELLOW PERIL sort of way. Basically it is Moffatt writing modern AU Sherlock Holmes fic on a moderate BBC drama budget, which is fine by me.

*looks innocent* I might possibly have source material...*whistles* I'm loving it so far, but I am a worshipper of Steven Moffat, so there you go. I didn't think the second ep was as strong as the pilot, but the husband says it's different, not better or worse. YMMV.

If you do need help acquiring this, I will be happy to help in sharing the Sherlock love.

If you can do MegaUpload, I could lend you some assistance, if you still need it. (I also would be very happy if you wrote [personal profile] nestra all the fic in the world.)

Any chance you can hook me up? I've got the first episode but I can't seem to find the second in a single file, and downloading 14 pieces is going to make me very cranky ...

It's rare but it happens sometimes spontaneous fandom birth. It's like spotting a unicorn. LOL

It was fun to witness and watch the source and read the fic. *g* And in the middle of summer of all time.

Welcome back! hope your vacation was lovely!

I've only just discovered the new Holmes because bethbethbeth mentioned the YouTube bits!!!

So, thank you for coming back!! (for so many more reasons than that =)

(don't know where you were in California, but up here in the hills of San Francisco we've been experiencing lovely cool fog and haven't been over 60F for weeks... complete and total bliss!!)
