I read this, even though I had no idea what the canon was. Then I looked up the canon and watched the trailer.

Your slash goggles are very well-calibrated, aren't they? The story was so much fun I nearly want to watch the movie. (Which I would do if I thought you were going to write more fic for it, but otherwise--eh. Even with those actors--Idris Elba and Zoe Saldana in the same flick, awesome!--I'm not motivated.)

The movie is a lot of fun, though the body count takes some getting used to -- you kind of have to think of it as a video game, where the named characters are real but everybody else is just an automated enemy to be shot down.

One reviewer called it the best A-Team movie of that summer -- even though it was the summer that gave us the actual A-Team movie.

I took my cue from fandom, the way I always do, plus I was predisposed to love Jensen because I'm crazy about Chris Evans and to love Cougar because I have a type. Honestly, most of the slashy energy I saw in the film itself was between Clay and Roque.
