I had been planning to ask questions for a month, so I'm going to copy
muccamukk and start with self-introductions.

Call me ...
Other things I've been known as (that I'm willing to share) ...
A bit about my nonfannish life ...
A bit about my fannish life ...
Things I'm super-enthusiastic about ...
Call me Resonant or Res; she.
Other things I've been known as: I was resonant8 on LiveJournal; the loss of the 8 has been confusing and I kind of regret it. Many years ago, I was Serin McDaniel on Table Talk. Somewhere out there is a bit of nonfannish het porn that I sold to an online magazine under the name of Peale McDaniel, but it may have vanished from the internet by now.
A bit about my nonfannish life: I live in the American Midwest with a spouse, a kid, and a cat.
The spouse is bookish and absent-minded and funny and interesting. We've been married since 1989. The kid will be sixteen this week. They're amazing. The cat was born with only half a tail.
I've been a journalist, technical writer, and church secretary; now I have an analyst job with a huge tech company.
Current state of my life: full of more change than I'm comfortable with. A couple of years ago the spouse went back to school and we all moved from the town we'd been in for twenty years. The lesson of this past year for me has been being able to say: That was and is still very difficult for me; this new life has a lot of advantages over the old one but I'm still grieving for the stability I lost.
Heaven help me, we have to move again in the spring when we can't live on campus any more.
Also much on my mind right now: my father died unexpectedly in August.
A bit about my fannish life: It's in a bit of a lull right now, waiting for the next wind to catch me.
Things I'm super-enthusiastic about: Food and cooking, yoga, fantasy and science fiction, sustainability.
