Who's on Pillowfort? I'm resonant8 there. I haven't posted much, but I'm hoping to.

Who wants to be on Pillowfort? I have 11 invites, so hit me up. All gone now.

There's really nothing wrong with Dreamwidth except that a few old fans fade out and new fans don't come to take their place. Everything is wrong with Tumblr, every single thing, but it has enough content to keep me entertained for fifteen minutes at a time.

Won't you help me make "fetch" happen?

I'm on Pillowfort, but not finding it easy to use like LJ and DW, and still too much like Tumblr which makes my brain feel splodey. I have been trying to add you as a friend there, but it looks like not happening. Sometimes it won't even let me sign in.

I did the Kickstarter for Pillowfort and want it to work out as "fandom's new home" but I'm a bit frustrated about it at the moment.

I share a lot of your frustrations about the interface. I can't remember what it was like when I first started using LiveJournal but there must have been a learning curve, right?

Anyhow, what I'm hoping for is that people will have some consistency of identity (so their online behavior will add up to a reputation, and either they'll care about keeping it or I can use it to avoid trolls) and that tag blocking will allow me to participate without constantly getting whacked in the face by purity discourse or the horror that is current American politics.

There was some learning curve with LJ, yeah, but it never frustrated me like Tumblr did (and which I abandoned) and like Pillowfort is doing. I can find communities there, but not individuals, and I can't get the follow function to work for me. *sigh*

I'll be curious to see how it works! I found Tumblr too frustrating and never did figure out how to have a proper conversation there.

Well, that's because you can't. Tumblr is maybe more like Diaryland, if you've been around that long -- it's made for publishing (or republishing) a particular piece of content, and any allowance for responding to that content is more or less an afterthought.

I managed to stumble onto an invite a while back, so I just went to add people...and wow, is that not an intuitive website. I had to manually navigate to their pages and hit the + button - is there an easier way that I'm missing?
