It's my opinion that any time before 6 a.m. ought to be spoken by replacing the colon with the word "fucking."

So. Tomorrow I have to get up at four-fucking-o'clock to catch a plane at six-fucking-fifteen.

Back on Tuesday.

I'm sorry, not to undermine the wrongness of getting up that early, but I read this "colon" as a piece of one's anatomy ;)

I always refer to any hour of the morning before nine as "0-dark-hundred." But I also don't usually go to bed before two.

I found that refferring to any obscenely hour as "before sparrowfart" always makes me feel better... (this could of course say more about me)

[snickering] In a similar vein, I had a friend in college who used to refer to a cold day as "too cold to give birth to live babies" and a really really cold day as "pig-bitin' cold." It does make you feel better.
