To celebrate my fourth anniversary as a slash writer, I've written some short snippets revisiting some of my older stories.

This was a bit self-indulgent, of course -- but it was fun, and it got me out of my Transfigurations-induced writer's block, so I might be doing more of it in the future.

Homemaking, a follow-up to the Due South story Housekeeping.

Fraser/Kowalski -- NC-17 -- 17K

Borealis, a follow-up to the Due South story Adorned.

Fraser/Kowalski -- G -- 5K

Display, a follow-up to the Due South story The Teeth of the Hydra.

Fraser/Kowalski -- NC-17 -- 16K

Marked, a follow-up (drabble) to the Harry Potter story Bruise.

Harry/Draco -- R -- 4K

Wellspring, a follow-up to the Harry Potter story The Familiar.

Harry/Snape -- NC-17 -- 10K

I've also cleaned up some snippets from the defunct Sentinel story that was to be called "Six Weeks" (follow-ups to Anoint and Midnight Oil). They're all Jim/Blair, of course.

Cold Feet

G -- 4K

Clean

NC-17 -- 9K

Declarations

G -- 4K

Talking

NC-17 -- 7K

Revelations

G -- 8K

Listening

NC-17 -- 11K

I'll be uploading these to the 852 Prospect archive, but I'm not on any Sentinel lists any more. Is anybody out there still a member of SXF and willing to announce these to the list?

You posted this right after I left on my trip, you bad, bad girl! You'll just have to accomodate yourself to my schedule in future... :P

Seriously, gobbled up all the dS and HP ones, and am mightily resisting the Sentinel, because I will not have you addicting me to a show I have never watched and will probably never get the chance to watch. They were all gorgeous, of course--"Wellspring" had such wonderful images, and I loved this exchange:

"You really think I can do it?" he said after a long moment, nuzzling into Snape's neck.

"I think," Snape said, "that you will be woefully underprepared, as always. And that you will find yourself supplied with extraordinary stores of unaccountable good luck, as always." He rinsed his own hands and cupped the back of Harry's neck, using a thumb to raise his chin. "And that you will have wiser and more experienced minds at your beck and call, ready to shield you from the consequences of your own foolishness. As always."

Harry closed his eyes and kissed Snape's jaw. "Thanks."

So like them, so true to the canon relationship (and much improved by the addition of Soapy Naked Bits.) *g*

And "Homemaking" just about killed me--white-hot, and perfectly tuned Ray and Fraser.

He looked incredible. Hard under the sweats, which hid nothing -- breathing hard -- slight frown between his eyebrows like he was trying to figure out what to do next. Ray rubbed the line with his thumb. "Quit thinking, Fraser," he said. "My job to think. Your job to feel."

Fraser nodded jerkily.

Ray pulled the covers down. "Go lie down."

Even if I hadn't read the previous story, it wouldn't affect the enjoyment of this story, because you have an amazing talent for conveying the complete picture of the relationship in so few words.

Fraser's dark hair was damp with sweat, curling around his face, and his eyes were heavy-lidded and dark, and his mouth was loose, and Ray wanted a picture, wanted to show it to everybody -- for me, he's like this for me, he gives this up for me.

Guhhhhh. That's just--wow. And the last bit was a perfect ending--the two of them talking about the mundane aspects of living together, Ray having taken care of the problem before Fraser needed to articulate it.

Lovely as always. Oh, and I should tell you I'm saving "Transfigurations" as a present to myself when I finish my story.

Aww. Thanks! This is great to hear. Glad you liked them. I've only recently noticed how domestic all my stories are; I guess essentially what I'm writing about, always, is home.
