I am the proud possessor of a little pile of numbered lime-green Post-It notes. Each of them has a scene written on it. Numbered post-it notes, people. In the right order.

I rock.

Have these post-it notes lost their ability to stick to various surfaces because of being rearranged so many times to get them in the correct order? Yep, you rock, Resonant, and I ask the weirdest questions. :D

Yes! You know exactly how this works, don't you? I was sitting there in my coffee shop, laying them out in a row on the table, trying not to look up so that I wouldn't see if anybody was looking at me like I had a paper head ...

*claps*

Brilliant! But what are the scenes for? New story? NaNoWriMo?

For the second romance novel, which I've been working on for so many years I don't even want to think about it any more, but now it has a new skeleton and I may actually be able to finish it soon ...

Second novel? What's the first one called; I wanna buy it!

Congratulations on sticking with the second novel - I know what it's like to struggle with something that feels like it's never going to get off the ground, and I admire you so much for continuing. I'm sure it'll be wonderful, and I look forward to reading it when it gets published.

Alas, I've been unable to sell the second novel, possibly because it stinks. (Or maybe it's blatant favoritism, but on the whole I think the former explanation is the more likely.)

I think of it as my test run.

Oops, I mean unable to sell the first novel. The second one hasn't had a chance to fail yet.

And I'm sure it won't. Good luck getting it published!

::applause::

What are they for, though? I'm dreadfully curious.
