Apparently these days you get either smut or an actual story from me, but not both. I've just posted a G-rated sequel to Bed and Board:

Paternity
Harry/Ron/Hermione -- G -- 12K
"You can tell an old school chum. Which of you is the real father?"

This will make more sense if you read Bed and Board first.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] darthfox and [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza for beta.

[livejournal.com profile] shrift and I have been sending out vibes so people would write HP fic for us, and I'm really impressed at how well it's working. First [livejournal.com profile] sanj's post this morning, and now this.

I love how well the three of them work together, how well they know each other and don't even need to talk to know what the others are thinking.

So y'all are the ones responsible. I'd been wondering.

And glad you liked it!

Oh, I really enjoyed this! My goodness but Eloise is out of date, though, if she thinks that the surname means anything like that.

Well, the whole wizarding world is out of date, in this universe!

Wheeee!

This is hilarious. And wonderful.

And I don't wonder there's no smut in it; they've got a 5-month-old! Surely they're tired-out. *g*

Man, though, "scourgify" must come in really handy with an infant...

Magic in general would be extremely handy with an infant.

Having a whole extra parent wouldn't be bad, either.

I can't believe I hadn't read 'Bed and Board' yet. Fantastic threeway, I enjoyed it immensely! What a perfect way to spend a quiet afternoon.

*hearty applause for both fics*

EEEEEEEEEE!!! I love Ron and Harry as daddies. SO cute. And Hermione would definitely be the type to not want to hide while nursing. Just perfect. :D

Oh, cool! I hadn't realised "Fair" was in the same universe. Duh. ;)

And if anything could make a contraceptive spell fail, Weasley sperm could... unless the light hair is a recessive from Harry's side? *is curious*

Well, I could have mentioned it in the notes for "Fair," but unlike this one, that one makes perfect sense even if you haven't read B&B.

I'm betting the light hair comes from the Granger side -- but even I can't really be sure.

Bed and Board:

"I think I'm looking for something impossible."
"What's that?"
"If I knew that, I wouldn't have a problem."
"Right."
Ron was looking at him very intently now, and Harry looked away under his scrutiny. He was surprised to feel Ron's hand on his hair, and a moment later he was shocked into near-breathlessness to feel Ron's lips brushing his cheek.

I'm utterly destroyed by the sweetness of this and Ron being the best Best Friend ever!

"We-have-a-Harry-clause. ... Her and me, and nobody else, and for good if we can manage it -- except if it was you, then that was all right and no harm done."
*Is destroyed again. And again*

"It's more of a Ron-and-Hermione thing."
*Sigh!* They're such great friends, *sniffle*

"You don't know it yet, but you're about eight moves from getting pounded into the ground."
*Fans cheeks* phew, much slashy subtext :o)

Mmm, light kisses...

I'm not much for the graphic side of Harry/Ron/Hermione, but the whole Best Friends thing is the best.

And after this he was going to kiss the same way they did.
Obviously I'm much too sappy to be reading fic at this hour. That's a beautiful line.

Love the gentle humour that is never far from the surface throughout the story.

"Boys," she said, and he looked up to see her rolling her eyes. "Slow down, will you? It's not a speed competition."
Lol! So Hermione :o) !

striped
Don't think I've ever seen that word used in that context in fic before. Good choice.

I read het. I feel so violated.

Fair and Paternity are lovely, too, yay.

Oh BLESS.

Note-perfect, this. And I'd not read 'Fair' before, so I got the fun of that too. AND re-read Bed and Board.

Lovely. Brava.

ROFLMAO!!!!! Res, you ROCK.

As a BF'ing wacky crunchy mom of 2, I love reading this kind of story in fanfic :D My first Andromeda fanfic featured a big ole dose of natural mothering (brutally in context, I'm a cannon-writer, I cannot lie :D).

Wouldn't magic be SO FUN with widdle babes???

Amazing how tactless even wizards are with poly families >:D

Man, I was saying to Kass above how nice it would be to have both magic and a third parent when you had an infant.

"Whose turn is it to levitate the baby in for her night feeding?"

LOL!!!!
What, do you think that the family bed would freak the HP fandom out too much? >:D

I lived in an intentional community for a couple of years with my sons - marvelous. Nursing the baby & older kid wants dinner? There's 2 other moms to make some! Can't do the dishes cause a child has been puking all day? There's 2 other moms to clean the kitchen!

It was like poly...but with abstinance :P (I'm a boring bisexual monogamous person, but my poly friends tolerate my mainstreamitude in this area :P)

You could play in this universe alot, eh? ....don't let all these awful critics stop you....

I love these stories. Your trio works as well together as they do in the books, only with the bonus of sex. *g*
