I keep forgetting to link to these, but I wrote The Speed of Light for the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic Darkness Challenge. McKay/Sheppard, NC-17.

Or, in other words, the latest State of the Res is that I'm accomplishing nothing but smutlets in three fandoms, plus the occasional unfinished litslash. [sigh]

Keep 'em coming, babe. I've discovered that, given the right circumstances, writer and google-pics, I can fall into the joys of most any fandom, canon knowledge or no. I read your other Stargate fic (the one with the blindness) completely blindly myself. Then I googlepicced the two men and thought, AHA, interesting! (The rps'er comes to the fore: *needs pics*) And then I discovered that one can also slash with someone called Dr Zelenka and he looks so daggy and bespectacled and I LOVE IT.

What are these other fandoms you are dabbling in?

Oh, Zelenka's the greatest. Actually I've only seen him in one ep so far, but I loved him because when Weir said, "How can I help you?" he said, "Stop talking."

To properly appreciate Rodney you need to hear his voice. [melts]

As for other fandoms, I'm still doing the occasional smutlet/flashfic in DS; I've still got several HP WIPs, though they get less IP by the day; I've got an unfinished Georgette Heyer and an unfinished Hornblower litslash and an unfinished Finn Family Moomintroll, I kid you not. And all I do is start new stories and abandon them. Woe.

Who are you pairing in the Moomintroll, ah, fandom??? Morra/Snorkmaiden??? Snufkin/Moomintroll? (The latter is so canon.)

Aack! You kid me not!!!

And the woe of unfinished fics. I have a heap of unfinished fics from a fandom I'm no longer interested in and that most of my LJ-friends are no longer interested in (lotrips). That is sort of terrible! They are fics with nowhere to go! I hadn't realised that if you leave a wip ip long enough, it may ip itself right out of an audience. And out of your own passion.

I have never seen Stargate, not even one episode. Is it worth it? Or do I stick with fic? Because, as I said to [livejournal.com profile] cathexys earlier today, who needs canon when fanon is so hot??

DS: I don't even know what that fandom is.

Snufkin/Hemulen, actually, though I agree that Snufkin/Moomintroll is the more obvious route to take.

I've only seen about six Atlantis eps yet. It didn't immediately hook me the way DS did, but I'm enjoying it. Rodney has a very sexy voice. John is irritating, but maybe he gets better.

Um. Icon shows some gleamy teeth.

?? Isn't Due South about a Canadian cop? With a funny hat?

[weeps for her poor beloved fandom]

This is the Mountie. That other icon is the cop. They are sexy, damn it, despite the funny hat.

Completely OT, I read Exog again the day before yesterday - after not having read it pretty much since not too long after you posted it, out of fear that maybe it wasn't as good as I thought then. But it is. It's so great! I'm still hoping to win the lottery so I can offer to publish it - because it pains me weekly not to be able to rec it :o)

Aww. That's sweet! Two magazines have bounced it back to me, and I'll be sending it out to a third one tomorrow. Just have to keep sending out the square peg till it finds a square hole, I guess.

Thank you very kindly for your polite request. I will forward it to the appropriate authorities in my brain.
