I have only one comment on "No Man's Land," namely that Robert Picardo sounds so much like David Hewlett that it's uncanny. In the story in my head, Rodney and Woolsey are, like, long-lost cousins or something.

Oh my gosh, you're right. I would have never noticed... They also have the same frown, and very similiar facial expressions. They really could be long lost cousins! (or perhaps even a never acknowledged father/son thing!)

A father/son thing? In which McKay's mom had a wild fling with... okay, wait, I'm trying to reconcile Woolsey with wild fling.

Maybe not. You know, this totally reminds me of that AU story where John and Rodney are brothers but don't know it.

Shockingly, the age difference is only about ten years. (Those glasses put ten more on poor Picardo, who actually isn't awful-looking.)

Really? You know, I'm forever underestimating Rodney's age, I think. I tend to think of him as early thirties, which is probably wrong. And I like Picardo! He was my favorite back when I watched Voyager and he was the holo-doc.

Story? Cool.

Just don't make them "and then they done sex", please.

Er, no. Actually I can't think of anywhere for a story to go, per se, unless Woolsey is somehow still in touch with Jeannie ...

there's something in the facial expressions, too, although I can't quite put my finger on it. *thinks* ...no, brain fried. darnit.

Yeah, there was a definite similarity. The sounds of the voices were mostly what struck me, but if they would ever do a scene with the two of them side by side, I'll bet I'd notice some resemblance in face or gesture or something.

Now that you mention it the intonations of (in?) their voices really are very similar. If Picardo had spent ten or fifteen minutes listing the ways he was likely to die it probably would have been more obvious... *g*

And somehow I think Woolsey had that in his head, even if he wasn't saying it.
