Haven't you gotten burned out on OSC's fiction? I crashed and burned a long time ago, although Ender's Game is still one of my all time favorite reads ever.

I loved Ender's Game as a short story; never quite warmed to it as a novel. But the thing I am absolutely hooked on, and because of which I will read anything the man writes, is the Prentice Alvin series.

I loved the first few too, but then they were so slow in comng out, I sort of forgot about them and I sort of gave up. I think most people will agree that he's a genius.

Re: Culinary - That's brilliant! I am of the philosophy that there are very few foods that are not improved by the addition of cream cheese. When I eat it alone, however, I rarely think to season or doctor it.

It's delicious, but it disgusts anybody who sees you eat it.

I'm totally with you on literary part. Especially Speaker for the Dead. (I'm sorry if this comment seems really abrupt- I mean no harm.)

No problem! I really loved the character of the Hive Queen. Genuinely alien aliens are rare.

I totally agree re: audiovisual. Somehow watching the show after reading good fanfiction doesn't seem to cut it any more.

So many times the source material is inferior to the slash!

Hello, stranger! Happy to see you here; how's the family?

I usually don't sully it with bread, but then I have a higher tolerance for mushy foods than most people do.
