I'm looking for three songs I can't get on iTunes. Does anybody have:

- the single version of Joe Walsh's "Life's Been Good"? (Maybe it's officially by the Eagles. I don't know.)

- Jim Croce's "I've Got a Name"?

- the Sesame Street recording of "Rubber Duckie"?
(Man, you'd be surprised and disturbed what turns up on iTunes if you do a search for "Rubber Duckie," and a search for "Sesame Street" is even worse.)

Thanks. I'll actually post some music, or some porn, at some point -- something to justify my existence on the internet ...

eta: Never mind. Man, you people are fast! Thanks!

I used to have a version of this including both the English and the Spanish translations. I'm very sad that I deleted it.

Actually, I had the newsgroups open here at work in that my boss was making me download crap for him, so it was an easy search *G*.

Anything else you might be wanting?

Well, if anybody's got any Caetano Veloso, especially if it's newish, that would be cool.

I'm still working my way through all the Steeleye Span you put up a while back. Great stuff, some of it!

I am seeing Tropicália and Tropicália 2, Cê, Perfil, Araçá Azul, Bicho, Domingo and Jóia.

Steeleye Span can be a lot of fun. I like solo Maddy better, but hey *G*.

Anything from Cê would be terrific, and any version they have of "O Leãozinho." Also if anybody has his cover of "Billie Jean," I'd like to hear that. Thanks!

I agree about Maddy solo (or with June Tabor or Tim Hart). The other woman who sang for SS (I don't even know her name) is, um, kind of off-key a lot of the time, which maybe wouldn't be so jarring if the arrangements weren't so slick.

All of Cê (as well as the only copy of O Leãozinho) can be found here;

I had no luck with Billie Jean.

Gay Woods is the other singer and I HATE her. Awful, annoying voice. Maddy is a goddess though.

Huh! Those are fun, in a sort of '50s jazz and/or '70s porn soundtrack way. I'd never actually heard his work, but the New Yorker review intrigued me. (Not enough for me to actually pay for the music, obviously, but.)

I not so secretly love other people's music request posts. I didn't know I needed these! *laughs* Thanks everyone!

Now I feel I must hastily add that I'm filling in the blanks in a playlist requested by a friend! A playlist which also included Oliver's "Jean" and Petula Clark's "Don't Sleep In the Subway"!
