Odds and ends

I am so bad about announcing podfics -- sorry to everyone who's done all this hard work and not heard a word from me. nos4a2no9 has done a podfic of my Due South story, Adorned -- you can find the link here. Again, here's my policy on podfics, remixes, DVD commentaries, and any and all transformations of my work: go for it.

• Last night I dreamed that David Hewlett and I were doing a little necking, and also a little bonding over how much we loved to hold other people's babies. His baby made no appearance. And I don't even like babies all that much. Give me a kid that can talk back, I say.

• Also last night at 4 a.m. there was a great crash, and now we have no power. (I'm writing this from a coffee shop where I fled for blessed internet.) I opened the windows when the air conditioning went off, and I said to the spouse, "It's amazing how quiet it is out there," and he said, "Well, many of the loudest insects are powered with electricity."

Adorned is my favourite of your DS fics - I think I never got around to properly feedbacking you for that one. And it's one of the fics still lingering on my to-rec list, *sigh*.

Aww. Thanks! I really feel, in retrospect, that I went up a level with "Adorned," and I wish I could say I'd done it on purpose, but it just happened.

Hi,

I'm in the middle of podficcing Tender,(you gave permission , thanks so much) and I'd also like to do Knoxville, because I think it's hilarious.

When I've got the final copy of Tender done, I'll send you a copy by yousendit.

They are both great stories, I'm enjoying podficcing them.

Cool! Thanks so much. (I'm going to be passing through Knoxville this weekend, and I'm sure I'll be smiling. Last time I was there, my car broke down and I had to make a co-worker drive across the state line to take me home to NC again.)

They are working on I-40,and closed a section, but going through is not bad, they just route everybody on some other interstate-ish road. We went to North Carolina a couple of weeks ago to the beach for a week. It was wonderful.

Thanks for the warning. (Has there ever been a moment in the history of auto travel when all of 40 was open from one end to the other? I swear it's the most worked-on road in the country.)
