Awww, this was sweet. And "sweet" is not usually a word I associate with Esme Weatherwax, obviously, but it works very well here. I've been wanting Granny/Nanny femslash--thanks for this!

oh, i adored this! young esme weatherwax is one of my favorite things ever ANYWAY, so. i love the bit about how they weren't lounging in rectangles of sun on PURPOSE.

When I read the book, I was so thrilled at the confirmation that the two of them go way, way back together!

I adore your Esma; her making an accommodation with the sun and keeping her eyes open. And that she and Gytha are so happy and comfortable together.
