I'm listening to Jack in the Green right now (thank you). I love the Jethro Tull song by the same name -- I was wondering if this might be a cover but it's a completely different song.

I poked around on the internet trying to find out something about this "Jack in the Green" -- it doesn't sound either traditional or folk-rock -- but I wasn't able to find any info.

I finally downloaded the non-DRM'd version from iTunes. (And did with it exactly what iTunes hoped I wouldn't do ... oops.)

I can't use iTunes and that tune isn't available for download either from cdbaby or Amazon. I don't feel too guilty about it.

Where did you get the Malinky? I've only got one other song by them, and I love it!

Amazon has several of their CDs for download. I actually thought they were an old band; I was surprised and pleased to find that they're still recording. (They've replaced the lead singer from this song, though, and I haven't listened to any of the new stuff to see if I like the new one as well.)

Thanks for those! I wound up taking them all. After rather cautiously starting out by checking out the first few on iTunes, the first few impressed me so much that I just grabbed them all, and now I have a whole bunch of new groups to check out!
