The Project
Harry/Snape -- NC-17 -- 5000 words of story plus 2000 words of chat log
He wished it had been anyone other than Snape.
I can't remember whether julad's suggestions actually changed the story as written, or if the most I'd gotten around to doing with them was pasting in the chat log.
Note: I feel I should put some sort of warning on this, because cesperanza hated it -- scenes that I'd thought of as merely distant and clinical had a horrible squicky noncon feeling to her. You know your own squicks; if you have any concerns, I'm happy to answer questions.

Icebreaker
Harry/Snape/Lupin -- deeply, profoundly NC-17 -- 14,300 words
Harry brews a potion.
Riddled with gaps; also switches from third person to first and has a couple of separate beginnings. I had beta help here from bethbethbeth, giglet, and julad.

Harry/Snape -- R -- 4200 words
Legilimency and everything after.
this is mostly notes; what little narrative there is is an odd style because a lot of it is taking place inside a Legilimancy session. The story would have been a big, significant one if I'd ever been able to write it, which is probably why I couldn't.

Canon fodder, or: why I phased out of HP fandom

When I posted my HP WIPs, I said, "A pox on open-canon fandoms," and arby_m said, "I totally agree, but what about SGA? (Does the openness of canon not count, because it is SGA after all and the writers are on crack?)"

Crack helps, but really I have two problems with writing in HP fandom now: (1) unity vs. episodic-ness, and (2) how much I trust JKR, which is not much.

There are no spoilers in this post, but it's the sort of discussion that could easily generate spoilers in the comments, so beware. ( here's a cut tag for you. )
