A Fine Day's Work


Mike Stamford made it all the way out of the building before he started laughing, but it wasn't easy. He couldn't wait to tell the lads about this day's work. Stoneface Watson, who hadn't said fifty words to Mike all day, flatsharing with that circus act Sherlock Holmes, who never shut up no matter how much a man wished he would. And Mike had engineered it all himself!

He wished he could be there to see it, he really did, a flat shared by those two oddities. There'd probably never be a civil word spoken between those walls again.
