Wrote one of these at the allergist and the other two while waiting for my daughter to finish her ballet class (which is the sort of thing that makes me feel I'm living a thrilling double life).

Surviving for [livejournal.com profile] teneagles, who asked for "postwar Harry/Ron schmorn." (And isn't 'schmorn' just a delicious word?)

Tidal for [livejournal.com profile] lada_hitam, who asked for Harry/Snape, though it may not be the sort of Harry/Snape she likes.

Plummet for [livejournal.com profile] maryavatar, who asked for Harry/Snape, "plummet." (Her challenge was just too good not to use it for a title.)

Got a doctor's appointment tomorrow and a ballet class every week, so I'm still welcoming challenges for these!

Edited to add the usual: If you want to see links to all the smutlets on one page, go to the story notes here.

Hey, I'm a silly OTPer, so I've read only your Snarry. Wow. They are perfect. I'm going to rec them in my Recs Page in the next update.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] absynthia and [livejournal.com profile] ptyx for the recs—these are wonderful. The language, the way you describe the dynamics between Harry and Snape...your smutlets are definitely among the fics that have made the deepest impression lately.

All three of these are excellent, but I particularly enjoyed Plummet. Very hot. :)

Good! I love Harry/Snape in almost any form; it's so much fun to write.

With all of fandom groveling at your feet, you hardly need me to tell you your stuff is great.

D'you think you could write me some Neville/Snape, the operative word being "Mortified"? I would love it if you could.

Seems like I ought to be able to get more benefits from having the fandom groveling at my feet! At the very least they ought to pick up some of this crap off the floor.

But I'm glad you liked them!

I've never written any Snape/Neville, but I'll give it a try.

They were all excellent, of course. 'Plummet' was my favorite!

I really like Tidal!

It's short, but somehow it manages to sum up what Harry/Snape fics are all about, all the emotions and struggles that present itself in this pairing. Every word is precise and poignant. Not fats whatsoever. At the end of the story I'm satisfied, even though it's very short.

Great job!

Re: Plummet, I just wanted to say "wow". Your snape is so stark and believable and so utterly captured in just a few words. This was great, thanks for sharing. I hope HBP feeds your muse.

I'm so glad you liked it! I should write some more smutlets. They're fun.

I have HBP, but am resisting reading it; the spoilers I've read are making me less than enthusiastic. I mean, we've known all along that certain characters could not possibly survive the series, and were doomed to die in some dramatic way in Book 7, but up until now I've been able to blithely write as though I didn't know that, and now I'm having difficulty with it.

Re: 'Surviving': Guh. Sorry I'm so inarticulate, but this was just mind-blowingly gorgeous. I would so love to see more H/R from you. :D

Thanks! Glad you liked it. I've got some unfinished HP stories sitting around waiting for inspiration, but I don't know if any of them will be H/R -- still, you never know; I love the pairing, and unlike Harry/Snape, it's a pairing that Book 7 is likely to be kind to!

I really hope you decide to write more H/R. I feel like you have a lot to contribute to a ship that really needs more writers like you. :)

Oh, Tidal, guh. See, this is what I've always loved about the idea of Harry/Snape, yes, two broken, flawed people together, perhaps both flawed enough that on the best of days, under the right circumstances, they're willing to show each other a bit of themselves.

I still love the pairing so much, and that's just it. They're both in a loneliness so deep that any contact at all is just -- mmmm.
