Clearly I am not up on the latest trends
Aug. 11th, 2012 03:58 pmI'm trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff, so for the first time ever I'm listing things on eBay. One of the things I'm selling is a Life Is Good T-shirt that I bought at a rummage sale for fifty cents, which the kidlet decided they didn't want.
With three days left on the auction, there are eleven people watching it, it has seven bids, and the price is up to $13.36.
I sure know what I'm going to be watching for at rummage sales from now on!
edited 2020 to retroactively correct the kidlet's gender pronouns

But there was a time when I was in school doing fundraising with M&M sales. And I entered some random grocery (Keebler?) sweepstakes and won a crappy free t-shirt that didn't fit me. So I sent it with my father and his case of candy to work. Never had there been a rush to his desk for candy like there was that day for a crappy free t-shirt with purchase. Ever since then I've been baffled by the appeal.
