New Skyfall story: "Equanimity"
Dec. 31st, 2012 01:35 pmI've posted a new Skyfall story on AO3.
Equanimity
NC-17 -- 3900 words -- Bond/Q
"As I never know when someone might try to push my buttons, I find it useful to know where they are."
There's a mindfuck element in the premise that may squick some readers. If nothing in the first ten paragraphs disturbs you, you should be golden on the rest. Comment if you want a guide for the persquicked.
I used to feel like something was published when I put it on my site, and AO3 was a backup. I notice that now it seems just the opposite.

Date: 1/1/13 02:57 pm (UTC)When Bond said to Silva, "What makes you think this is my first time?", my second thought was, "Holy shit, they've given us a James Bond who is arguably canonically bisexual," but my first thought was, "Bond has just played the absolute only winning hand that was available to him in this game; if I were doing the job he does, I would certainly have made sure beforehand that that winning hand was available to me."
