Well, 'toilet' is a euphemism, too, but I see your point -- 'bathroom' is a euphemism for a euphemism, and I start to lose count at 'powder room.'
I have an ongoing minor linguistic tug-of-war at the church with 'die' vs. 'pass away' -- when a member dies, I'm the one who puts it on Facebook and in the bulletin and newsletter, and I say die/death -- just can't bring myself to use any of the less direct terms -- but everybody else in the office is very careful to say 'passed' or something like that. At least we don't have any 'went to glory' or similar.
