It waxes and wanes, my interest in -- well, everything, really. Just made a little trim in the reading list. And of course anyone should feel free to drop me, too, any time.
That was uncharacteristically terse and vague, wasn't it? It was my last day at Life-Threateningly Boring Job, and they had a pizza party for me and gave me a card, and I'm shocked to discover that I'm sad.
Oh, yeah, those unexpected things that grab at your heart. Little acts of love that you didn't look for, people that you're surprised to find out you'll miss, and so much else going on that it sort of creeps up on you. I'm glad to hear it's a caring-inspired, temporary sad instead of a longer-term one, though.
I know that feeling. I doubt I'll drop you. You post so infrequently and usually have interesting little tidbits!
Feel free to drop me. I wouldn't hold it against anyway, especially as my interests start to turn more towards tiny dead fandoms and other stuff people don't seem interested in.
My interests are running and flailing with the media glut, mostly happy but also undirected. So much excellent TV along with delightfully mediocre TV; films coming out in theaters and on DVD faster than I can get to them; and a backlog of "omg-you-must-watch-this" material. And now I see perfume reviews popping up on my reading list, which is interesting, but I feel like such a n00b. Plus I've got a fannish weekend coming up in which participants lure each other into whatever their favorite slice of media is.
I wasn't thinking of that so much as a trope -- more as a widely (though not universally) accepted bit of fanon characterization. Captain America-As-It-Should-Be.

I'm sure there are a million more!
Isn't it funny how that article finds so many men to talk about fandom? Where did they all crawl out from?
