The streams have crossed, plus overheards

Round about the middle of January I got a text from the kidlet that said, "I may or may not be in the process of reading through ur entire Kidlet tag." Followed quickly by "I s2g all ur friends fangirl me," which is true.

So I promised to post some more overheards (even though almost none of them are by the kidlet this time), and to let you all know that they're foxfire99 on Tumblr and eager to have more followers if you're so inclined. If you have a personal age policy, they're 16. Please don't attempt to involve them in any Nigerian banking scams.

Meanwhile, mostly work-related overheards this time:

"The client told me he'd have the form today. I constantly remind my daughter not to believe anything a man tells her.”



"This project has been passed around like a cigar-sized blunt."

"We don't need to have a meeting if we get the document and it's all sunshine and rainbows shootin' out a unicorn's nostrils."

"We're gonna eat you first. You're full of vinegar and haggis."


"People don't get that."
"That's 'cause they're dummies!"
"Well, don't yell at me! I didn't make 'em dumb! I'm not God!”

"You got these big sweat tacos in your armpits."

"The question is ... and maybe I don't care ..."

"Do we just need hours for the Bubbas?"

"Everybody has to be nice to _____, because HR deleted his ID."
"Yes, _____ says she mystically fired me."

"Knowing him, he's gonna push-push-push, and I'm gonna snap and kill him."

"I don't mind anybody being bitter over PeopleSoft."

"Building big and ugly? We do that great. We do that better than anybody."

"I'm gonna say ... I'm not gonna say anything. Never mind."

"If they're confused, they're confused consistently."

"It rained! Now it smells like shampoo for unicorns out there!" -- kidlet

I like that person, whoever they are. I approve of that person. I bond with that person.

And I, too, fangirl your Kidlet. I've always thought you lucked out hardcore in the immediately family department. Which, come to think of it, is probably not all that much about luck.

I promise to NEVERTHELESS read the kidlet's stuff until it's publicly reduced for Yuletide (which no doubt will be before our next Pres is inaugurated.)

Pfahahaha, I have this horrible feeling that Herself and I are Not Very Far From This Particular Day of Reckoning ourselves.

I have told her that she's not old enough for Tumblr but I have also not gone into her tablet history and figured out what she's been up to, because a child needs some secrets.
