December Daily: Guardian
Dec. 15th, 2020 07:58 pmTale as old as time: Goodposture Ironedshirt is an irresistible temptation for Disreputable Smirkingman. It's set in ... a school? Disreputable is ... a detective? But then why is he in a school? Goodposture has a secret. I don't think it's a villainous one, but I'll bet Disreputable does.
Sorry, that's the best I can do. Disreputable is really, really attractive, though, for what it's worth.
Specify a date if you want; otherwise I'll just answer them whenever.
This year, in addition to the usual kinds of questions, I'd also love to get storyish prompts. Storyish meaning you never know what you might get: two sentences of a story, or a description of a story that will never exist, or a love song about how much I like that trope, or a rant about my pet peeve about that trope, or I know nothing about that canon except what I see on social media and here's what I think it might be about, or Ten Reasons Why I Love/Hate/Am Indifferent To that character, canon, or trope, or ...
As always, I'd love to hear about it if you're doing the meme too.

Date: 12/16/20 02:22 am (UTC)Though it's not precisely set in a school, Shen Wei (Goodposture) is a university professor when he's Clark Kenting, so several subplots happen at his university.
Another familiar set of tropes - a detective investigating supernatural crimes runs into a mysterious and beautiful stranger repeatedly on his cases. What secrets is the mild-mannered professor hiding? (Many.) How much time can they spend staring deeply into each other's eyes? (A lot.) Will they have to team up and work out their trust issues to Save The Day? (Yep! Though fanfic is where you go for the happily-ever-after.)

(There is also a canonical shape-shifting cat, fwiw.)

Date: 12/17/20 01:53 am (UTC)Imagine if you had a cat that could shape-shift but wouldn't, because what could possibly be better than being a cat? But she's not above making her tail just a little longer so it can knock your water glass over.
