I myself have some older stories that embarrass me a bit when people draw attention to them.

So if you've gotten 88 kudos from me on 1,200-word Due South stories you wrote when you still wore shoes with no arch support, I apologize for any awkwardness.

Does it help to know that your stories that made me happy before Y2K have just made me happy again?

(And why the embarrassment about your older stories? Me, the first sex scene I ever wrote -- F/K in dS of course -- embarrasses me and I considered deleting it from AO3 -- but it got comments from fen who liked it so I've left it.)

I have stuff that I *know* I could rewrite and vastly improve. But if I leave it up, younger writers can see the progress just across the one series. So, despite my embarrassment, I left them up.

If I had a story that embarassed me I simply wouldn't leave it up in public. And I know I adroe comments on older stories. You almost certainly made their day!
