100,000 hits! New smutlets!
Nov. 20th, 2004 01:16 pmMy page ought to be hitting 100,000 any minute now.
To celebrate, I've put up ten number smutlets in both Due South and Harry Potter fandoms. (All on one page, all NC-17.)

Date: 11/20/04 12:25 pm (UTC)I particularly loved "62%," but then again, hot, needy Fraser and smart Kowalski always float my boat.

Date: 11/23/04 12:20 pm (UTC)I liked 62%, too, though I didn't actually work in the source of the number the way I wanted to.

And Ray will grin and say, "I know everything."
Yay.

Date: 11/20/04 03:18 pm (UTC)Honestly, you shouldn't be allowed to write short fics! Even though I know it's a smutlet, I let myself get caught up in the story every damn time, and then - it stops, *argh*!!
The next time Malfoy comes to see him, his robe is made of much thinner fabric.
If your smutlet was a sonnet, this would be the volta - very good :o)
Did you deliberately have Harry describe Sheherazade as just "a woman", instead of the Sultan's wife? (
Did I mention it was a good smutlet? It was very good. My favorite of the bunch, though 5040 comes close.
20/20
Harry/Ron, *sigh* :o) ! The dynamics of their relationship is so fascinating - in fics as well as in canon. This rings very true to me, although I know Rowling has no plans for them in this direction, heh.
Ron pulls off Harry's glasses with hands so nervous and clumsy that Harry squints so he won't get poked in the eye.
I love little mundane realistic bits in fics - this is a great one.
Harry associates Weasley coloring with comfort and safety, and he knows sometimes Ron worries that Harry sees him as just another member of the family
Exactly - to all of it.
"This close," he whispers, "I can see you just fine."

and then a bottle, at which point Lupin was revealed to be a sparkling conversationalist, not to mention a surprisingly attractive man
Hahahaha
there was real satisfaction in induscing the normally self-contained Lupin
"Inducing"?
Inevitably there came a night when Lupin failed to rise and depart before moonrise.
Here I had to skip ahead - something I rarely do - to make sure you weren''t having Lupin eat Snape (I can be so paranoid, *g*).
5040
a mellow, deep bell
Nice description.
Snape struggled, pushing at him, and Harry held on, because he couldn't bear to lose the contact. Snape mumbled, "Let go, you fool. I'm trying to --"
Wah, such a vivid picture of their emotions!
the shock of all that ordinary skin, sunken belly and stringy black hair, brown nipples rising in his mouth before he'd even registered that he was moving
Mmm, I love listing, and this is done very well with the shock (to the reader) of Snape's nipples being not just noted by Harry, but suddenly mouthed!
Snape's hand left Harry's shoulder and came down to grasp at the root of it and offer only the tip, and at the sight of that, Harry was hard all over again.
I don't blame him; that's *fans cheeks* a hot image.
Love the laughing between them :o)
Thanks for writing!

Heh -- I was just trying to keep it short, so I had to keep explanation to a minimum.

Laughing and laughing. It would serve him right, but no, he's too sexy to be dismembered.

You are so, unspeakably wonderful, how DO you do it?
5040 was my favourite, no question. Although I quite liked 1001, also. ^___________^

Date: 11/20/04 03:57 pm (UTC)1981 was painful, though. Seriously: ouch. It's a catastrophic failure of understanding to the point that Remus is, in a way, seeing what he wants to see: Sirius as a traitor, because that makes sense. And then I suppose he fixes on that as the answer, rather than just one possible answer. Wah!

Date: 11/23/04 12:28 pm (UTC)And, yeah, too many secrets all around in 1981, and all that pain -- it's all there in the canon, too (minus the sex, of course, which just makes it worse).

Date: 11/20/04 07:24 pm (UTC)Reading the smutlets made me a bit sad though because I love your plots so much and really missed reading something new that was a bit longer. (Not like I'm one to be talking. I don't even write. LOL. I'm "just" a reader.)
Also, I've realized that usually Snarry doesn't work for me at all, but I must say that your last Snarry was awesome. What do you like about that pairing?

Cool -- it worked for someone who isn't already a convert!
I adore the pairing, but I can't quite say why. The real crack for me in slash is loneliness -- that's what makes a character completely irresistible to me. But really, a good half of the characters in HP have that sort of bottomless loneliness, so I couldn't tell you why there's more of a charge for me in pairing Snape with Harry rather than with, say, Lupin or Black. I like those pairings, too, but they don't get me in the gut the way Snape and Harry do.
Maybe it's also the possibility of reconciliation -- that since Harry is James' son, some of the damage can be undone through him ...?
Not sure.
Thanks
