1. Grape juice concentrate doesn't freeze, no matter how long you leave the ice-cube-tray in the freezer.

2. Wavy/curly hair seems to curl more and frizz less if you don't brush it. No, I mean not at all, ever.

3. Those apple corer/slicer things, which seem so blunt when you're trying to use them to slice an apple, are actually sharp enough to take a good-sized slice out of your thumbnail.

3a. The outer edge of my left thumbnail is the one that I use to hold down modifier keys on the computer, so when said outer edge is missing, computing becomes quite painful.

I have curly hair and never, ever brush it, except occasionally right before I get into the shower if it feels really icky. If I brush it I look like a giant dandelion - frizzball city!

Yes! Never brush wavy/curly hair!

Furthermore, best product I've found: Umberto Giannini "Curl friends" mousse (http://www.boots.com/shop/product_enlarge.jsp?productid=1003253&classificationid=1032651&slmRefer=000&imageid=1) + pink jelly (http://www.boots.com/shop/product_enlarge.jsp?productid=1004331&classificationid=1032651&slmRefer=000&imageid=1).

I don't even own a brush. Even narrow-toothed combs are too... narrow.

Word on the hair - the only time a comb touches mine is to part it right out of the shower. Curly hair is a delicate ecosystem that must be left to thrive on its own :-P

Speaking as the owner of long curly hair (if anyone ever saw it) - combs. Only combs. Very wide-toothed combs. On well-conditioned hair. Hair that only gets shampooed at the roots and oiled at the ends.

As for the thumbnail - wrap a band-aid around it. It works. As I know from sad experience. :)

At this point the only grooming implement I'm using is my fingers. My sadly mutilated fingers.

You could try liquid nitrogen...

Best comb I ever found for my wavy/curly/frizzy/thick hair is an old Afro pick with rubber teeth.

add a little water to the concentrate and it should freeze. Orange juice makes very ice cubes though. :)

Really? I'll have to try that.

I like a drink made of grape juice concentrate and seltzer water, but if you keep the concentrate around, it grows mold. So I thought I'd freeze it into cubes and store the cubes in a bag, but chemistry defeated me.

They're also sharp enough to shred the bottom of your Keds if you step on them with enough force, which is a fact I discovered during a particularly horrible Girl Scout camping trip.

Learned the curly hair thing with my child...the only time her hair is brush is when we are going to be seen in public...which means she would get a shower in the morning, her hair brush after the shower and then we will go out. On a regular basis I will only put her hair in a ponytail (without brushing of course) to hide the nest/hair she was bless with...

The kidlet desperately wants curly hair like mine. Since I had a blow-dry style in all the wedding pictures, she thinks her hair will turn curly when she gets married!

This is the funniest thing, because my husband and I we both have straight hair and the child has curly hair....I've seen my husband glancing at the milkman but that's nor here or there..... Now, the child loves to play with my hair because is long and smooth so she said.!
